Agrar Plantas del Sur implements photovoltaic solar energy for a sustainable future
AGRAR PLANTAS DEL SUR, S.A., as part of its commitment to improving its environmental performance and achieving significant energy savings at its facilities, seeks alternatives to the high costs and consumption associated with fossil fuels, which also contribute to increased greenhouse gas emissions.
For this reason, Agrar Plantas del Sur has installed a self-consumption photovoltaic solar system at its facilities in Paraje La Cumbre, El Ejido (Almería), providing the company with a new renewable energy system.
A monitoring system has also been incorporated to track the energy results achieved.
For the development of this project, AGRAR PLANTAS DEL SUR, S.A. received an incentive of €20,798.75 from the Andalusian Energy Agency through the “PYME SOSTENIBLE” programme line of the Andalusian Energy Development Incentive Programme 2020 “Andalucía es más”. The project is 80% co-financed through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and 20% financed with the Regional Government of Andalusia’s own funds.
